Kombucha is made by fermenting a sweet tea through mate of the SCOBY, which stands for: Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast. These bacteria and yeasts consume the sugars that are put in the tea, these bacteria and yeasts partly enter the drink and this is why kombucha is a probiotic product.
